Sinopale Biennial: “What Waters Remember”

Ali Kazma

We are pleased to share that Ali Kazma’s Crystal is on view at the 10th edition of Sinopale Biennial: “What Waters Remember”, Sinop, Turkey.

The project takes as its point of departure the idea that water, which makes up a large part of our bodies and the ecosystem in which we live, also has a memory. Water absorbs what is happening in the present moment, while also remembering everything that has taken place there in the past.

Don’t miss the chance to see Kazma’s “Crystal”, shot in France at a crystal factory founded in 1584. In “Crystal”, Kazma’s camera renders the magical ability of man to give shape to things through his own careful gaze that focuses on abstracted details of colour and form as well as the workplace itself as a site for cooperation, solidarity and harmony.

Opening 25 September 2026, the Biennale will be on view until 15 November 2026.
