Mais Belo é o Rio que Corre

Alfredo Jaar

We are pleased to share the opening of Mais Belo é o Rio que Corre, a group exhibition including Alfredo Jaar's site-specific installation The Cloud, at Centro Cultural Sesc Quitandinha, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The exhibition emerges from the meanderings of water, flowing through the currents of confluence.

In dialogue with the poetics of Alberto Caeiro and the thought of Antônio Bispo dos Santos, the exhibition unfolds as a field of flows, where a river takes shape through the movement of confluence among different forms of knowledge, people, and temporalities.

Bringing together works by South American artists across a range of artistic languages and media, the exhibition explores borderlands and threshold spaces, where the course of water becomes a site of presence, connection, and continuity across Latin America.

Opening  28 June 2026, Mais Belo é o Rio que Corre will be on view until 28 February 2027.
