We are pleased to share the opening of Turn around. Um olhar sobre a Coleção de Arte Fundação EDP (Parte II), a group exhibition including works by Helena Almeida and José Pedro Cortes at MAAT, Lisbon.
The EDP Foundation Collection presents at MAAT Central one of its most comprehensive exhibitions, bringing together around 100 works from a collection that stands as a reference in contemporary art in Portugal. Avoiding thematic or chronological structures, the exhibition proposes a dialogue between generations — from established figures of the 1970s and 1980s to artists born after the 1974 Revolution — exploring aesthetic affinities and tensions across a range of languages and disciplines.
In this second phase of the Turn around. Um olhar sobre a Coleção de Arte Fundação EDP cycle, the exhibition inhabits the architectural space of the galleries in a fluid manner. It offers a rare opportunity to observe the evolution of the national artistic landscape in a unique display, which will remain on view until early 2027.
Opening 28 April, the show curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah will be on view until 25 January 2027.
