We are pleased to share the public presentation of João Motta Guedes’ This Sign is an Act of Love tomorrow at 12:30 pm at MACAM.

 

Motta Guedes’ neon work resists the logic of buying and selling — a poetic gesture that invites us to reflect on the subjective, emotional, and immaterial value of art.

 

With the arrival of “This Sign is an Act of Love” — marked with a small reception ceremony in the Museum and Hotel’s Entrance Hall —, MACAM becomes the first museum to host the artist’s work, which will remain under its care for one year before moving on to another institution, continuing its transient nature.
