We are pleased to announce that the upcoming 2026 programme of Belo Campo will be led by curator Francisca Portugal. Building on Adrien Missika’s eight years of work and experience, Francisca will continue to present relevant and experimental artistic practices in the underground cellar of Galeria Francisco Fino. The first exhibition will be announced very soon, stay tuned for more!

Francisca Portugal lives and works in Lisbon.

She holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London and a BA in Arts and Humanities from the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon.

Her exhibition and programming projects include Departamento de Estudo das Bibliotecas (Lisbon, 2025), Holbein Syndrome (Galeria Francisco Fino, Lisbon, 2025), IV Capítulos (Fundação Carmona e Costa, Lisbon, 2024), Jarra Humana (MACE, Elvas, 2024), Highly Confusing Times (Arbag, Lisbon, 2024), FENDA (Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, Évora, 2023), WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND (Arbag, Lisbon, 2023), Is There Yet Space for Light (Paris, 2023), Os Sapatos do Mestre (Die Möglichkeit einer Insel, Berlin, 2022), Elbow Room (KUNST HAUS ACUD, Berlin, 2022), Stayin Alive (Duplex Air, Lisbon, 2022), In Nihilum (Swiss Church of London, London, 2020).

She has recently worked with institutions such as Bergen Kunsthall (Bergen, 2025), Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (Lisbon, 2025), Callie’s Artist Residency (Curatorial Fellow, Berlin, 2024), ZK/U - Center for Art and Urbanistics (Guest Curator, Berlin, 2023), Berlin Art Prize (Curator, Berlin, 2022), Duplex Air (Guest Curator, Lisbon, 2022) and Umbigo Magazine (Lisbon, 2020–2022).
