Galeria Francisco Fino is pleased to share Vasco Araújo’s participation in the project Uma Densa Nuvem de Amor / A Thick Cloud of Love – Algumas teses, antíteses e sínteses queer na Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, with the screening of his video About Being Different (2007). Preceded by Jenny Larrue's performance Metamorfose, the screening of Araújo’s work can be seen at Reitoria da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, October 27th at 7PM.
Conceived as a dialogue between artistic creation and academic inquiry, Uma Densa Nuvem de Amor unfolds until November 10th, presenting performances, films, installations, and conferences that engage with LGBTQIA+ histories, knowledge, and activism.
With works by Ana Pérez-Quiroga, André e. Teodósio (Teatro Praga), Carlos Motta, Cláudia Varejão, Francisco Mallmann, Hilda de Paulo, Horácio Frutuoso, Jenny Larrue, João Pedro Vale & Nuno Alexandre Ferreira, Lolo Arziki, Lou Vives, Luisa Cunha, Odete, Paulo Pascoal, Rogério Nuno Costa, Thomas Hirschhorn, and Vasco Araújo. Curated by Pedro Faro. Organized by Reitoria da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, in collaboration with NOVA Cultura and the Gabinete de Igualdade e Inclusão.
