The sculptures Untitled (distance between our arms), I and II refer to barriers used to restrict movement and metaphorically mirror the physical and legal limits present in contemporary societies. At the same time, they question the nature of the social contract as the foundation that sustains modern states, highlighting the impossibility of passage and the illegitimacy of the use of force and repression. The relationship between barbed wire and perforated codes encourages a critical view of ideas of justice and how they are implemented through the law, resulting in sculptures that summon up humanist dimensions about the exercise of freedom and the way we relate to each other.
